RECENT NEWS FROM JACOB'S LIGHT FOUNDATION
Spring 2008

Well Spring is in the air and Jacob's Light Foundation, Inc. is going strong.  To date we have sent over 160,000 pounds of supplies to our heroes overseas and have been able to fill personal requests made for specific items that our soldiers need or want.  Our next packing is scheduled for April 29th 2008 for another 8,000 pounds to be sent overseas. Our packings would never be possible without our volunteers that come to help us move supplies and pack.  Each month, it takes over 100 devoted and dedicated volunteers to move supplies, to pack boxes and then to help us bring boxes to the post office for mailing. We also have a devoted group of volunteers that help us create a Newsletter for the troops. Please check out our gallery for recent photos of our March packing.

We would like to thank Dominick Mavellia and Park Plaza Properties LLC for donating storage space, and to Peter Russo and Dynamo Distributors for there monthly donations of boxes, and packing tape for our mailings.  Thanks to Brentwood American Legion Hall for sponsoring our packing by letting us use their facilities free of charge. We would also like to thank Emergency Product Research for supporting the Foundation as well as JJ Spellman of
J2 Studion and Design for updating our brochures.

Special thanks to our ANONYMOUS donors and Grantors who have given so generously to help us and have enabled us to expand and grow.

Thanks once again to BAE SYSTEMS for their ongoing help and for their recent donation of $9600 to help us with our work.  Many BAE SYSTEMS employees help us pack month after month and have become an integral core of our volunteer group.

Thank you to Girl Scout Troop 3838 for their collection and distribution of girl Scout cookies and notes for the soldiers at our March packing
